Music Society of Fort Worth
WELCOME TO THE 2005-2006 CONCERT SEASON!
As you can see by the program schedule, our guest artists are primarily those that have been our most acclaimed and most popular performers in previous seasons.
Jon Nakamatsu,
gold medalist in the 1997 Cliburn Competition, honors
us by returning once again even though his career
has really blossomed and he is now being heard by
concert audiences throughout Europe as well as all
over America. December 31 was the only date in our
entire season for which he was not already irrevocably
booked elsewhere.
We can say the same things about Antonio
Pompa-Baldi, silver medalist in the most recent
Cliburn. He too has a very busy concert schedule.
As an example, his performance of the Rachmaninoff
2nd piano concerto with the Houston Symphony at The
Woodlands last year was received with wild audience
acclaim.
Lack of space precludes similar paragraphs on each
of our other guest artists. They're all great! And,
so are all the other members of our ensemble. These
performances rank among the very greatest chamber
music to be heard anywhere!
A word about our venue. We have an absolute limit
of about 275 seats, including chairs on the stage.
We will guarantee good seats for all season ticket
holders. (Last year that included more than half the
house capacity). In the case of a sell-out, we will
only sell additional tickets to fill any seats still
remaining empty after the end of the first piece on
the program.
Come to the concerts, and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
